Is the problem you are having switching from heat to cold or redirecting the air to another direction, like defrost, floor, chest level, etc?

If memory serves, the know directing the air in other directions is a vacuum system, not electric with a motor. I'm trying to work from memory here, so remove the glovebox, it should be two screws. You may see the vacuum lines once the box is removed. I believe all the connections are to the right near the door. There may be a hub there. One should be the vacuum line. If I am rememvering correctly. You may have a crimped line or one with a hole in it.
