Need a new engine

Is there a different year or model engine I can use
in a 02 ford explorer 4.6 L V8. I am told they only
used that engine for that year

not to be rude....but you can put 100 different engines in it because eb did on the expensive ones..,,look for a 4.6l v8 from 2001- 2003.....with a computer...but you never know....

Using the correct engine is your best plan of action. A 4.6 from a year one way or the other PROBABLY will work but double check before you buy one.
