2002 ford, 4.6 engine surge then stalls...

4.6 ford, 130.000 miles, when at idle, any power accessories that are turned on
(lights,power windows,windshield wipers), the engine surges then stalls......

Most engine surges can be traced to the IAC, MAF, TPS, and even the PCV. All except the PCV are operated electrically. Since the problem only happens when a dashboard or cabin switch is activated I suspect a chafed wire or short sending an electrical signal to one of the sensors listed above. I would begin at the the fuse box and look for chafed or burned wires.. Did you see if the engine is throwing any codes. That could narrow the search.
