I can not find the plug in, in the front of my ford explorer used to plug the vehicle into the house, where is it? Like what does it come off, because that's the way i need to find it because i cannot find the end. But i need to know where it goes so i know if i even have one or if it was ripped out thanks :)

The electrical plug goes to a block heater. They are usually installed in a freeze plug hole in the engine block.
Block heaters are installed in place of one of the frost plugs, normally on the passenger side of the engine. If you have a factory one installed, the cord is normally found coiled up just behind the passenger side headlamp. There is a flat plug in the line so you can feed the wire through the grill, to expose it for winter in a way that won't damage the paint of the vehicle. If you don't have one the Ford original part is somewhere around $35. Install is about $150-200.

My plug in on my 02 explorer is mounted just below the grill more towards the passenger side and it has a spring loaded plastic cover that flips up so you can plug in a female end of an extension cord.this truck I noticed originated in Canada so it prob needed block heater
