Switching alternator on ford expedition to ford explorer

Asked by Kevinlaw293 Jan 04, 2016 at 10:56 PM about the 2002 Ford Explorer XLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 ford explorer with a dead alternator.
I also have access to a fairly new alternator in a
1998 ford expedition with a dead transmission.
Will the alternator in the expedition work in the
explorer.
