Take the VIN number to the local auto parts store or Ford dealership and get the correct unit for your vehicle.
If your choice is between a new or remanufactured unit, I would choose the new one. The warranty is usually better - the price isn't - but this is your safety. Any old parts store can look it up for you - no VIN required. Make, Model, Engine, Trans, 4x4 or 4x2, Anti-lock brakes, Traction control. The VIN wont tell the parts guy anything about the options.

not true dealer can tell all options from vin number and get right one or better yet call dealer parts tell vin get part number then check with local parts place or rock auto to see if they have.
