When was the last time you did a tune up and filter change on your Explorer? Use a good fuel injector cleaner in your next tank of gas too.

I just did an oil change with new filter...filled the transmission fluid...new AIC... and sea foam (just half a can in the oil and the other half in the gas) about 100 miles before the oil change. but no tune up with the fuel injector cleaner. ill do that next and give an update by next week.

Try the easy thing. Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner, not carb cleaner. You can also check the TPS. Check on line for the procedure. It is not difficult. Make sure the new IAC is plugged in and working. Check the resistance on the coil, Check spark plug wires for signs of arcing. If you have an ohm meter you can check the resistance of each plug wire. Use Motorcraft plugs and wires. I am of the opinion Fords are a little finicky when it comes to plugs and wires. If all the above is good, have the vehicle checked for a clogged injector or two.
