My battery light popped on out of no where, then my car stopped and wouldn't turn over. I got a jump from someone, but I barely made it home before the popped back on. It stopped my driveway?

I dont know what it is, I never had this happen. I'm thinking its the alternator! But I'm no mechanic! What's confusing me is when I got the jump it didn't hold long... What does that mean???
Yes, it is your Alternator. Your alternator charges the battery while running an if it goes bad it will pull all the juice from the battery an make your motor die. You can have your alternator tested but from what your telling me you most definitely have a bad Alternator. Good luck.
You need to charge the battery and have it tested, then the alternator output voltage should be tested. Don't just buy parts and throw them at it, do a proper diagnosis.
