How do you replace the coolant temp sensor on a 2002 Explorer XLT V6, SOHC
After some driving and the engine is running at the right temp, if I make too many short stop and go's, the truck won't start until it cools back down a bit. The only cause I can think of is a bad coolant temp sensor. I can get to the sensor without a problem, but how do I replace it? The existing one has the retainer clip that you pull off and pull the old sensor out, but what's the trick to putting in a new sensor?
