Engine Swap

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 and a
2002 Ford Explorer with a 4.0.  Can someone
tell me if the Explorer motor will work in the
Ranger.

Try seeing if you the motor mounts match up and maybe go to a junkyard that has an explorer with the 4.0. Then you can look at your setup for your current motor and see what's different. Not sure if this helps but that's where I would start. You could ask around at Auto parts stores as well.
