Theft light blinks when car is off but starts normally and light turns off but turns on again when car is off

So the theft light blinks when the car
is off but the car starts and the theft
light turns off but when the car is
turned off the theft light on the dash
starts to blink.

Will it run down my battery if I let it sit for weeks while it blink's

Could the blinking security light in my 2007 Lexus that stays on when the engine is off. rum the battery down?
