My 2002 Ford Explorer XLT has air and heat clicking problems

Asked by please_help123 Jun 16, 2018 at 01:21 PM about the 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 Ford Explorer XLT had its blend door replaced after the heat wouldn't
stop clicking and no heat would come out. After that fix, the heat worked fine
but the A/C didn't work and all that came out was air comparable to the
temperature outside. Now neither the heat or A/C work and the clicking is back
but louder. We took the temperature control fuse out and the clicking stopped.
But this solution is only temporary because I need the temperature controls for
the defroster.

*****ONE MORE THING***** I got an "A/C pro kit" to fix the A/C because at the time, the A/C didn't work and the heat did (right after we fixed the blend door) and the dial was in the red meaning it was overfilled, but no air came out. And the A/C clutch WAS engaged
