Asked by Aussiexplorer777 Aug 03, 2018 at 05:21 AM about the 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In the rear of my explorer in the trunkspace on the
left side under the window is a plastic cover with
some kind of drum cylinder that has a wiring plug
and several aluminum hoses attached to it, it has
been making a thumping sound for a few days now
and the car has been running rough since t hugh is
started, I don't know what it is or its purpose I need
help so I can repair/replace it
