how do you stop the leak on a drain plug

Drain plug on the oil pan? Find a nylon washer that fits snug around the plug.

Right- if it is the washer, you are golden- get another one- if not, you will have to get a new drain plug

Did just that about a months ago on my 2003. While changing the oil I noticed the washer made onto the oil pan plug had seen better days. Drove to the hardware store and within the plumbing section found a washer which fit perfectly for a buck. Better than twenty bucks at Ford.
