Question type: General

replace thermostat an sensor an cap an fluid no heat start driving for about one are two miles needle goes to hot goes to holding tank filles up goes back to cold engine not hot oil good no leaks

I hope you didn't put thermostat in backwards. That much trouble after 2 miles is not air in system. Sure, it may need to be burped but sounds like it's not circulating ...and no there is no plug on engine. Let it cool, take off cap and run, hopefully after thermostat opens, which it won't if in backwards, you will see the coolant begin to circulate. Just let it run with cap off and if it begins to drop add until it stops dropping
