06 or 09 ford explorer v6

If you jump start the car and it starts, I would say your battery is the issue. Has it been load tested? Any auto parts store can do it for free. How are the terminals? Corroded? Battery cable condition?

Have you tested for a parasitic drain?

I did test it i ran a battery alternator and starting system test at work ive tested for parasitic draw and hit it with my purse a few times and still have found nothing, the guy said its intermittent just happens rarely so I may never know if I've fixed it

If it is intermittent, it is likely that you cables or cable terminals are at fault. By the sounds of things, you don't want to wait until the next failure so have the leads replaced and all battery connections properly secured. (battery to ground, battery to starter, starter to ground, alternator to battery, alternator to ground)

Clean the terminals get a can of coke and a good wire brush cleaner I bought the batterie terminal cleaner and scrub the batteries and the connectors. I only had one time I had to completely change the terminal
