Little black box in jockey box

Asked by Jenn Sep 16, 2019 at 05:36 PM about the 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V6 4WD

Question type: General

There's this little black box inside the glove
compartment aka jockey box. 2006, Ford Explorer.
When I tube the radio to a channel listed on the
little black box I hear static. When I turn the little
black box on it takes the static away but there is no
noise. I tried hooking it to a blue tooth device and
nothing pops up.

Looks like a FM TRANSCEIVER. Where does the wire go. It does not look like it’s Bluetooth. The other end may be going to the AUX plug or there maybe a part missing

That is some sort of aftermarket device. Probably a radio frequency setup for an auxiliary radio input.
