I have a 01 explorer sport 4.0 the 4x4 low doesnt engage but it works in high the indicater lights work for the 4x4 anybody know whats wrong

in my opinion as long as the 4 high works,dont worrie about 4 low,it is hardley ever used unless it is stuck in 4 feet of mud.

are you just in drive when you are trying to engage 4 low. If you are thats the problem the veichle has to be stopped in netural the switched into 4 low then when u shift into drive the 4 low light will light up on the dash

I have a similar problem. Mine will not engage low or high. I did check what appears to be the fuse under the hood and the fuse inside truck. Please help
