How long can I go with bad shocks and struts? By the way it's been a year..

why does my o/d light keep flashing?

Change the struts as soon as you can, it will wear ties uneven and steering will be affected. Dont drive at high speeds until the repair has been completed.

O/D light flashing indicates a fault with the transmission. It needs to be checked by an experienced mechanic.

Ford has some very good transmissions, but the early 2000 Explorers are not so good.
