On my old T Bird I had to replace the timing gear and chain set and then found the distributor was causing the coil to fire erratically, had to replace the distributor pickup coil, after that it started running much better and passed the running tests.

    When the engine is switch to the off position, it continues to run. It's not dieseling, it just stays on. I am assuming it is the switch. Any other ideas?
