GT40 heads?

Are you talking about taking the heads off the 5.4L engine from the modern GT40 and trying to fit them to an old 5.0L? I can't see how this would work unless I'm really missing something here...
Well some one said that cast iron GT40 cylinder heads could fit on a 5liter v8!! now I don't know if that's true or if they had to port or some thing.
Okay gotcha. I was thinking the NEW GT from the 2000s with the 5.4L. Googling GT40 heads 5.0 turns up a bunch of results...
I am sure the 5.0 GT-40 heads will bolt on to your block, BUT, it definitely will not make you a GT-40 Bird. You don't say what you are after with this setup... if you only want bragging rights to say it has GT-40 heads, then job is done. BUT, if you want a Hi-Performance setup, this is only a start and I am not sure even how good of a start. Port, polish, balance,, etc. maybe a Magna-Flo exhaust system, and more and you will have some bragging rights. Either way, good luck.
I'm looking to have a bad ass TBird GT-40 heads, maybe Borla exhaust, i don't know about a cam yet, shorty headers and port every thing and then a supercharger I could hear that bad ass whine
give you 40 hp if you try to put a super charger you will need to do a all forged rotating kit
GT40 heads that came on 93 to 95 Mustang Cobras and some Explorers etc when used with the correct GT40 intake manifold will add about 30 hp over the other heads used back then (E7).
