Ok. First of all, take it to someone that knows how to properly diagnose your car. Guessing only gets expensive. In most states, you cannot buy just one catalytic converter nor can you buy a used one. Count on a $600 to $1000 guess here. A real tech would hook up a scan tool, read and interpret the MAF, hook up a vacuum gauge, test the exhaust back-pressure and test the fuel pressure - and do it all within the 1 hour diagnostic time. No guess work involved.
Had to replace my Intake Manifold because of Clogged Cat. Clogged Cat used the EGR as exhaust and burned two holes in the old Manifold.
Bober1949 This happened to me currently. Did you replace the cat's or bypass my Ford has 3 of them?? WTH
Any info? Can you remove cat's? I have a new manifold to install want to know if cats can be bypassed.
