Over heating issue

My heater core was leaking..I replaced it... let car idle for a while got up to
temp was fine..no more leak.. then I drove it.. stopped at light and he.p
started going g up slowly.. turned car off then right back on.. went back to
normal... drove a lol further did it again... what the he'll is going on someone
please help

About to do that this morning..my first time changing a heater core...first time it started getting hot..Yes level was real low..I topped it off on side of road.. then it did it again...I. try to burp it this morning...thank you a lot
