Po401 po402 check engine codes

Asked by torrijw May 20, 2017 at 09:07 PM about the 2002 Ford Focus SE Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I keep getting these two check engine codes on my
Ford Focus se wagon, po401 and po402. I have
now replaced the egr valve, egr sensor, egr solenoid
egr valve hose, and the iac valve that ford
suggested. I am still getting these check engine
codes. Please help!

Might have to take off the throttle body and give it a good cleaning from carbon build up. After that clear the codes with scanner and see what happens. Hopefully that will not cost you much other than time and a bit of cleaning solvent. Good Luck!
