Question type: General

I have a 2006 ford focus zx4 se. I need to know the top speed of this vehicle. It is all stock from the factory. Officer said that he clocked me at 100mph. I do not believe this car will do 100 mph or over. Please comment!!!

100 mph is the shut off speed for this car,in other words it is governed to go no faster, but yes it will do 100 mph.

Yep-papa"s right..The governed speed,of the non-turboed zx-4( if you have a non-turbo,it"s rare) is 102 mph..I have no idea,about the top-speed,of a turboed one..My son,claims,his,does 112,before limiter,kicks in...

Most factory 2.0L zetecs are governed at 109 +/- 5. There are only 2 that are not (in the US) The 02-04 SVT and the 05- 07 ST.

I've got a 2013 1.6 litre cl fiesta hatch[ Australian] and spec figures state 169kph with and 196kph without the rev limiter. To the best of my knowledge, the Australian xr4 was not factory turbo. It had a 2 litre motor in a fiesta body with reworked exhaust. But in its standard form, it would do well over 100 mph with the governor deactivated.

Ford this season turns out smart Speed Limiter modern technology that reads traffic speed restriction indications and adjusts your car's cruise control accordingly. Fastest ever before RS functions specially-engineered 257kW 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine for 0-100 km/h in 4.7 secs and a maximum speed of 266 km/h. The 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder provide 170 horse power and the typical five-speed manual brings the drive fun.
