My 2005 Freestar just ran one trip and would not start the next. . It turned over liker crazy but would not start. Checked battery , battery cables and terminals, starter, fuses , relays, PATS ( key chip) and i am sure more i am not listing. Off and on for over a month I and my mechanic tinkerred with it. I found a Freestar w a blown transmission and was just gonna swap mine over when a old mechanic i knew and i crossed paths, I said I will give you $200 to make this run in 24 hours, i dont care if its a $1 part. Well I paid gladly to learn the battery terminal was hollowed out with corrosion and couldnt carry either amps or volts after the first 10 seconds. He had left the key on and watched a scan tool for a couple minutes She runs great w 161k
