The heater core is bad. BIG job. That is the no heat and wet floor problem. You will be low on antifreeze too. check it. It is possible that it may have blown a fuse for the blower.
Ch4rli3.... tuff4x4 is right. It is quite a lot of work to replace the heater core, especially if you are not ,at the minimum, an experienced wrencher. Replacing the core requires that you drop the steering column, pull the dash, disconnect all vacuum lines and linkages and depending whether or not you have air conditioning, it will require you to remove and replace the suction accumulator/drier (under the hood on the firewall). If you are just a tinkerer or do not have much experience doing major work to vehicles, I would not recommend trying to tackle this one. However, it is not an impossible job. If you pay close attention to detail, follow any of the several instruction sites directions on "how-to", it is quite manageable. I stress....pay close attention to detail! There are MANY, MANY things that can be damaged when doing this! Good luck to you.
I concur, it is probably a plugged heater core. Seems like the Taurus is known for that, since I had the same thing, with the wetness on the floor and no heat. My mechanic told me it would be 3-4 hundred dollars to get it fixed. I chose to sell the car, instead, for about half of what it was worth at the time.
