need advice on how to change fuel pump on 2002 ford taurus,can anyone give that advice plesase

we thought it was fuel filter but after the mechanic looked it was the fuel pump.I need to know how to change it. it is a 3lt 3.0

Dropping the tank was not in the cards for me. I opted for the path of least resistance so I cut a door in the back seat area big enough to get the job done. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Electric-Fuel- Pump-Gas-With-Sending-Unit-Ford-Taurus-02-03- E2313M-/162259540452
