Going to try replacing alternator today. Hope that might be the issue. Affraid it got a power drain somewhere if this don't work.
Don't take the battery terminal loose when the engine is running. You risk sending a voltage spike through the system which could damage a sensor or the ECU itself. The proper method would be check the voltage at the battery engine not running with a DC volt meter if it is below 12.0 volts, but above 10.0 volts the battery needs to be charged or a jump start will work if the alternator is charging. If your battery is completely dead it is very hard on the alternator to charge it. Sounds like your battery may be shot or deeply discharged and the alternator is not charging it. I would have the alternator and the battery tested.
They battery is bran new. I was told if a car won't run if you take terminal off that alternator is dead. I have not have a chance to volt test it yet. Will do that today. Of course before I pay 200 buck for a new one. But if all test good what should cause it to drain. It was owned by a older woman. She passed, car was sold at auction. I got it for 1500. It had a ground breaker flip switch on the battery. So ppl before me knew it had a problem.
