2002 ford Taurus ses wont start after running

My car will start one moment after it gets to temp it wont
turn over at all like its not in park but it is i get nothing to
the starter but after a few hours or so it starts again like
nothings wrong

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and my car will start just fine if it's been sitting for a while and I can drive it. But say I drive it around a while, especially in the heat and then I turn it off, run in the store and come to turn it back on it won't start. Sometimes it'll start if I give it lots of gas while I'm starting it, but for the most part it won't start after it's been running. Is that what yours is doing?
