I have a 2002 Taurus SES and I need to order a part for it. I have the 3.0L2v engine and when I look up the part it is asking me if it is an OHC or a DOHC. How do I know the difference?

Tom is right. You have the 3.0 liter OHC Vulcan. The other engine is also a 3.0 liter but it's DOHC. The eighth digit of you VIN will identify which one you have for parts ordering purposes. Just my two cents.
