2004 Taurus Wagon Transmission Shift Selector Neutral Switch location

Question type: General

Hi all, I have an '04 wagon with the dreaded sloppy shift selector, won't
always start question. I checked out the torx T30 bolts/screws. They are
tight. I also checked down the cable. Everything "seems" to be copacetic. I
can't see the neutral switch, and was wondering if that. or a wire loose is
the problem. I get a click when turning the key until I hit the sweet spot.
Sometimes its tough getting the spot! Then she starts. Your help would be
much appreciated.Thanks, Ron

sounds like the tranny has had it,my advice to you is to find a specialist qualified technician to diagnose your automobiles malfunctioning tranny

I found the Neutral switch, but it looks mechanically sound. I'm thinking electrical at this point? I hate intermittent shit!
