My 2005 ford taurus is leaking antifreeze under the car in a puddle on the passenger side. i have had to add anti and water. It seems to be getting worse. Could I have a blown head gasket?

My ex said it could be the thermostat? What should I have done?

I would first check the radiator and heater hoses. Also check the radiator itself and your freeze plugs.

If you're not up to the task, get it in to a shop, a simple fix like a thermostat won't cost that much, but letting the problem go can cost you big time. You could also ask friends for help, swapping a thermostat isn't too involved, although it might seem daunting to a first timer.

Water pump and antifreeze over flo bottle are both on right front(passenger side) of a Taurus. Check to see if it one of them

My 2005 ford tarous was leaking antifreeze and i had to keep adding in...i drove the car out for a little while then back home and turned car off and poped the hood.....i saw a hose that goes to the antifreeze reservater was a little wet...and leaking from their....check your antifreeze hose after runing the car....sometimes the hoses are old

Someone else said it could be my water pump and blamed it on that..but it was just a simple hose ....hope its the same for u

And also another thing i drive a 2005 ford tarous v6....i recently had to pay a transmition shop $700...to put a new torque converter in...and after that changed out my coils and spark plugs...now car is runing fine...just thought everyone should know they might have to save money back in case this happens to them..
