DO THESE TWOHELP YOU OUT ANY?> www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rkfhoKV3B0 www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEgnUML3PfM THEY CAN BE CLEANED WITH CARB CLEANER,,
No they can not be cleaned with carburetor cleaner!!! You need the appropriate spray cleaner, MAF spray cleaner. The MAF is in the air inlet tube that runs to the throttle body.
P0171 FORD - Fuel Injection System Too Lean Bank 1...Possible causes; Intake air leaks. Faulty front heated oxygen sensor. Ignition misfiring. Faulty fuel injectors. Exhaust gas leaks. Incorrect fuel pressure Lack of fuel. Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection...If the P0171 is combined with the P0174 code, it's very likely that the problem is caused by an intake leak. If there are no intake leaks, the next step is to replace the air filter and clean the air flow meter. If the problem persistss the front oxygen (O2) sensor may need to be replaced.......The po174 code is pretty much the same. Check this sight out to look at a MAF.... https://www.carid.com/cardone/mass-air-flow-sensor-mpn-86-50031.html?singleid=35563654&url=868787
MAF cleaner is like a electrical cleaner. Very clean, evaporates.......Sometimes a MAF is so fouled by dirt/gum, only carb cleaner or similar will clean it... In that case the MAF sensor should be removed from it's housing and cleaned by using the cleaner on a swab...
OVER ZAP THE PLASTIC WITH CARB CLEANER THATS ANOTHER STORY.OR A NO NO
Kelly, then why did you say "THEY CAN BE CLEANED WITH CARB CLEANER,", cuzz no they can not be sprayed with carburetor cleaner.
