How to open trunk if the door botton does't work

Here is how you do it tilt the drivers seat forward look. To your. Right there. Is a small lock built in the back on the wall put your ignition key in and turn it to the righ your trunk will open

I tried that and it still does not open. Car has been sitting still for 6 months. It always opens with this method if the battery is dead, but not this time.
