Aftermarket indash CD changer in 2007 civic?

Question type: Car Customization
Will an aftermarket CD changer fit into the dash of the 2007 civic? (EX sedan)? The dealer told us that it wasn't possible - no room for it. We had a dealer installed indash changer added to our 2005 civic no problem -- it seems inconceivable that a model would be redesigned to make it LESS easy to upgrade. If Honda can't do it, who can? Would it have anything to do with the auxilary jack and power outlet, which are now located in the slot below the existing radio & climate controls?

Hmmm....I would guess that the dealer may have had an ulterior motive for steering you to purchase the changer from him =) It looks like there may be several products that can help you, such as this one: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/sounsnhond3.html
Thanks! I think what the dealer was trying to tell us is that they themselves could not install a Honda supplied in-dash changer into the 2007 Civic because their parts list showed it as incompatible with the 2007 LX or EX models (although compatible with the DX, the lowest trim level). Does that make any sense? If Honda itself says that it can't add an additional component to the existing audio system, what does that mean?
Can anyone clarify this please. me too looking to upgrade the audio system in LX/EX

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to replace the standard stereo in a 2007 Honda Civic LX sedan with an aftermarket head unit? It looks like the stereo including the knobs is built into the dashboard! Please help. Thanks.
