Can a manual 6sp trans be installed in a 2003 Audi RS6?

I want to purchase a 2003 RS6 Audi and install a 6sp manual transmission instead of the
stock 5sp automatic.Can I use the 6sp transmission to The A 2.7T?

The engine and transmission control units communicate with each other so that would be one problem.

Yes, I have the same problem and it seen to be you will need the axles from and rear, rear tranxale and most probably the tmc to communique with the tranny.

Gents, After another round of communication error codes between my ECU and TCU on my 2003 RS6, I started Googling for a RS6 manual tranny solution and found this: https://advancedautomotion.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/312 Its a kit to swap in a 6 speed 01E tranny (used on the 2.7T motors). Perhaps it is a little light for the job, but apparently they work OK. For the RS6 version there are a lot of extra parts required that rack up the price a bit, and I can only imagine what my mechanic would charge to do this - I don't think I'd tackle it myself - but at least the major weak link in the RS6 would finally be solved.
