Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The chime works fine but please help me turn it off. It used to come on if the key was ajar in the ignition, but mysteriously quit having that issue and now only comes on when I turn the lights on. I'd like to find its location and disable it.

The chime suppose to come on when the key is in the ignition (running or not) and a door is opened prior to removal. I do not have access to a wiring diagram for your vehicle, but I would suspect the light switch for the door(s), the headlight, and ignition all travel through the same electrical relay. Obviously it is defective. Page through the back of a Haynes Repair Manuel, or other sumiliar publication, for your model and see if you can locate it. They are usually all the way in the back of the book.
