1990 Chrysler LeBaron convertable

Asked by tombowe3 May 23, 2014 at 03:51 PM about the 1990 Chrysler Le Baron Premium Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear window motors don't function, and replacement motors seem impossible to find.
Getting to them is very hard, but I have the local dealer removing them in the hopes that
replacement motors can be found.  Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on how to
proceed?

The replacements are everywhere. Just Google them. Under $50 at Auto Parts Warehouse.

I have a convertible same problem. I even got the ones from Auto Parts Warehouse, not for the convertible. But I did find a utube video that explained how to refurbish the existing ones. Step by step video showing taking them apart and resassembly. No new parts needed. Mine work fine now.

I own my 1990 Lebanon convertible since new. There was a recall due to water drains not working or clogging that would cause the rear motors to fail. Their fix was to drill larger holes. My left rear went out after the fix and warranty ran out. They would not replace it. Good to know there is a way to fix the odor, but I would check the drain holes too.
