well the chassis needs ground too....not only the startermotor....the ECU, fuel pump, and all accessories need the full amperage potential and voltage available from the battery...right now this power ain't gettin' the ground that it needs to see...what we must do is establish solid grounding potential...by dis-assembling and wirebrushing the connection from the 1/0 battery cable to the chassis ground....with all the weather and salt...this connection is supplying "brown power" to the ignition and limited amps and volts to the ignition coil~...just wirebrush the ground connection to the frame free of debris to make it shiny with a solid 300 amp connection available there...this way the electrics will behave themselves...with full ground potential~
...also the new tin/antimony alloy batteries stop takin' a charge ten percent per year...so check the age of the battery (knock-off-dots) for the year of it's first charge...you can expect limited potential from a battery that's five or older~
