Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One day while driving my kids to school my car just died on me.  My mechanic was able to get it running again, however now it wont stay running unless someone is continuously giving it gas.  As soon as we step off of the gas peddle, it dies instantly.  Since then I have taken it to 3 different mechanical shops and no one seems to know what is wrong.  Any Ideas??  Thanks a bunch.

They did check the timing and they said that it was fine and they didn't check any fuel related stuff. They just keep telling me that's not the problem.

Sounds like it may be dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate. Also have the cel codes read this may give you clues as to what's going on with it.
