stock turbo is only efficient to around 18-20psi, i wouldn't push it past that, i stay at 18psi spike and 16 to redline, start with a block off plate and bov, helps you spool faster and hold boost better, make sure to use a different vac source as the one use on the stock valve wont open a bov well, tap in right there at the throttle body nipple, next take off your whole air box, you can cut it and leave enough tube to get a cone filter on it, next go around back and cut the "performance" free flo muffler off..... as it is free flowing yes, but if you look in it it goes straight then has a nasty bent and then another to exit out the back, these last two will net louder turbo spools, next go over to Bruce's online speed shop and he has tuners for $250/sale right now as of 6/16/18, or find a diablosport predator, and they are basically a reconfigured Mopar stage 1 ecu tune, but you can adjust more perimeters via the handheld, and also data log for further tuning, these will get you around 280ish whp and a whole lot better throttle response..... after this the next mod would be a clutch, stage 4 rated for 450ish can be had for $500 or so, next when you ready look for a nice upgrade kit with a t3/t4 manifold and slap a good rated turbo on there some stage 2 injectors off ebay for $100, inline fuel pump for $60 and go to a reparable tuner and crank up the boost.... our motors are good to 500hp as we have forged internals.......just be patient, read, read, read, and have fun
