My wife started are 05 pt cruiser started to back up
car shut down in went home checked the battery
it's good I can turn key on lights all work but it want
turn over starter is good I can jump it with a screw
driver but still nothing

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
