Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Having problem with fuses blowing
for back lights n door locks. Door
locks went out. Within month had no
running lights or brake lights.
Replaced fuses n back bulbs for
running lights. One running light still
doesn't work put will come on with
brakes. Blinkers work fine.
Something seems to b blowing fuses
n bulbs. Also replaced multiswitch.
Any suggestions other than taking it
somewhere n b charged a million
bucks to trace down n look for a wire
short that might not b the prob
anyway?

You may be able to find out where the short is by just doing a systematic check of the wiring. If in fact, it is one the right side or the left, that is where you start looking. Any panels in the trunk should be removed, see if something is rubbing. Do this until you find exposed wires and tape them up individually, More times than not, the culprit will be due to a rub. That's what to look for. Good Luck
