Cylinders 2 and 5 not firing on a 96 grand caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I am stumped. it just died on me one day. I replaced the coilpack, and it will start and run,
but only on 4 cylinders. I replaced the plugs, and wires. Still no change. I was thinking
maybe ecm, or camshaft position sensor, but cant afford to just keep throwing money at
it. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I would think that the coil you got is not any good if it had stop running, then after you replaced the coil it runs, but only on 4 cyl. I would bring that coil back and try another one. Could be the problem.
Thank you for responding. I should have mentioned that I did warranty the coil for another one, and had the same issue. Still stumped.

Hello. I once had the same problem on a VW Golf. It turned out to be bad ground connections on multiple points. Replaced two ground wires and the rest of the ground contacts i cleaned with contact cleaner and some sandpaper. That sorted my prob out. Hope it helps you

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the oxygen sensors. They were faulty, telling the computer the wrong amount of gas to use so it misfired. Once replaced , it does not do it anymore.
