2000 Dodge Caravan SE will not restart when hot

Asked by Paul Jan 28, 2020 at 12:10 AM about the 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 Dodge Caravan SE will not restart
when hot. Thought it was starter relay
swapped them out still will not start.
Turn on ignition instrument lights come
on but no noise from starter. Wait for a
while and when it gets cold then it will
restart. Used to be able to jump start
when this happened but no longer. Did
have some ignition problems with
steering wheel locking up and
locksmith replaced tumblers but if it
was ignition why would it start when it
gets cold. Van has almost 200,000
miles on odo and has been reliable
until now.

I have the same issue, I've been told that it is camshaft positioning sensor.
