Removal of a 3.8 in a 2002 Grand Caravan

Asked by Vanadu Mar 11, 2014 at 08:01 AM about the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan ES FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In searching I notice some say a 3.8 engine and tranny are pulled together, some say it is
even dropped out the bottom of the vehicle, if it was partially disassembled in the vehicle,
could just the engine be pulled?  If anyone has done this, I would appreciate hearing
anything about it. thanx

Like all front drive vehicles, it is usually easier to drop the drive train as a unit- that's how it was put in on the assembly line-
