Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi. Just bought a used 2004 Caravan appears really well kept.  Engine is
running excellent and smooth. There is no Engine light coming on.  The
transmission is shifting smooth and don't feel any hesitation or shifting
abnormality, but  every few light stops and stop and goes it appears to be
trying to jerk/buck ever so slightly. Nothing hard or lasting just a little weird
jerking or bucking hesitation like feel.. then smooths back out and shifts just
fine through all gears..  What could this be a sing of?    I appreciate any
info and feed back...

You want feed back on this? Sell it ASAP. Nothing but a money hole. Nothing but problems with the Dodge Caravan.

sounds like you might have the start of a misfire condition, but not quite enough to turn your engine light on, If it were mine I would change the plugs and wires to see if this clears up the situation

Thanks so much StevenBoussey. I have changed the plugs and the problem has gone away. Today I also took it to a friend that knows a bit about mechanics and he stated the same thing, which indeed after changing plugs out has corrected issue. Very much appreciate it. The van has been very well taken care of. Its in dam near mind shape in and out and it shows. I think I did really well with this one.. Paid 2,400 for it. Thanks again.. Rick D'.... :-)

Another possibility to watch is the level of your transmission fluid. I have a Chrysler Concorde that did a long pause when first starting up and/or changing driving directions. The fluid level was low. I added fluid and it works much better. It as well as my 2010 Chrysler Town and Country now have a slight pause and jerk as mentioned above. I never thought it may be the spark plugs. Thanks for this idea to check. It may solve the slight hesitation the vehicles now have.
