Question type: Maintenance & Repair

P0891 code on my van.
the code popped up a
couple months ago, and
now my van doesn't
start. it doesn't even
crank. if I was to get
one out of a junkyard,
will it need to be flashed
or reprogrammed??
from what I understand
I can just take it out of a
junkyard van, and plug it
in mine and be good to
go. any thoughts ??? TY

Code P0891 pertains to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and if you Google that phrase you will see what causes that. I don't think this type module has to be "flashed" or programmed if you find one new or used. Okay. If the vehicle doesn't crank or start, that is probably a separate problem like a low battery, etcetera. Good Luck
