Tbi to carburetor swap

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1990 dodge d150 rear wheel drive pickup. It has a
318 in it with mild modification (Hooker Competion
headers). Recently I just made a tbi to carb swap and have
a few questions. I just finished putting in my new vacuum
advance distributor and intake manifold. I'm running with a
mechanical fuel pump that I pulled off of an 88 ram
charger. My question is throttle cable/ accelerator cable.
The carb I'm using is an edelbrock double pumper. But I am
having trouble with my stock accelerator cable fitting
properly to the carb and there is no place on my edelbrock
intake manifold to mount the brackets and linkage. Will I
need to find someone to fabricate a new bracket in place or
can i find something online that may fit?

you're probably going to have to cobb something together because no one goes from the efficiency of tbi efi to grandpas carburetor , that's like the blonde dying her hair brown , or winning the gold medal and having it bronzed , Holly , and others I'm sure ., make a bolt on performance tbi unit , it's usually best to keep things as they were designed .
